You crack open the spine on a new fantasy novel and eagerly begin flipping through pages.
The danger begins to rise.
That one character is perfectly sarcastic.
There’s a tiny squirrel who is winning over your heart.
And then suddenly, you’re drowning in worlds and magic too complex to follow, endings far too dark, or happily ever afters you just can’t see yourself living.
